Emotional Intelligence teaches people to name and manage emotions in the moment but never tells them that every emotion they experience is a learned childhood construct being replayed. According to trauma recovery coach Kenny Weiss, EI is "survival persona intelligence" — it gives you better tools for performing, not feeling. It never addresses the root: that all emotional reactions are replays of childhood blueprints installed before the age of seven.
