The guilt you carry for "hurting" someone's feelings and the pain you blame a narcissist for "causing" were both constructed inside you, not placed there by someone else.
Kenny Weiss identifies the Worst Day Cycle™ as the mechanism through which childhood life experiences create emotional patterns that make adults vulnerable to narcissistic relationships. Whatever unhealed pain your parents never dealt with, they dumped directly into you through the parenting environment and cultural messaging they provided — and your brain literally wired itself around those experiences at the cellular level. This is not genetic destiny; it is constructed emotional architecture that can be rebuilt.
According to Kenny Weiss, cultural conditioning is one of the three forces that construct human emotions, and most cultural messaging about feelings is wrong. Society has taught for centuries that emotions are bad, that women are more emotional than men, and that men are hardwired for stoicism — none of which is supported by neuroscience. These false definitions become the lens through which people construct emotional experiences and use them as either a victim position or a power position in relationships.
