What Causes Codependency?

Many of us grew up in homes where co-dependent behaviors were commonplace, we grew up with the illusion that what was happening to us was normal and appropriate. For this reason, we reached adulthood full of disconcerting feelings and a distorted way of looking at the world and what was happening in our family of origin.
